Special 5TH SATURDAY this year!!

Hey everybody!  Well here in 2013 we're basically doing the reverse of last year.  In 2012 we had an extra Saturday but the clubhouse where we meet was available the Saturday before.  This year, we're having the Craig Family Reunion the VERY LAST Saturday in June because the clubhouse was booked already for the 4th Saturday.  So we are technically correct this year in meeting the last Saturday of the month of June (2nd to last day of June in fact).  Melissa Johnson sent out a message on the Craig Reunion Facebook page about it awhile back and then I setup a Facebook group "event" for it a month ago. So we're all set to have the reunion on Saturday 6/29/13 from 10:30am - 3:00pm.  Please do plan on attending if you possibly can! And try to encourage the younger cousins to come as well!  We've got to keep all of us in-touch! Thanks and hope to see you there!

And here's this year's reminder postcard that is going out tomorrow. Look for it in your mailbox!  AND...if you don't get one, I might not have your correct/current mailing address.  Please update me with it via email, text, or Facebook.

2012 Reunion is Sat 6/23/12! Please come if you can!

The Craig Family Reunion always comes around the last Saturday of the month  - except this year gained an extra week in June and have the final day of June the following Saturday (the 30th).  So the date is around the same general day (last year was the 24th - this year it is the 23rd).  But technically it is not the last Saturday (this year being the exception).  Anyways, the date for the Reunion is Saturday 6/23/12 from 10:00am - 3:00pm.  Please do plan on attending if you possibly can! Oh here's the remidner card for this year.  Though I apologize for getting them mailed out so late.  They should have gone out 2-3 weeks earlier but other issues delayed that.

We have a Facebook Group page too!

The Craig Family Reunion is now on Facebook!  With the ability to create a "group" and schedule "events" for the group with reminders/invitations that go out to all group members, a Facebook Group is a terrific option.  In fact, it is probably a better option than this blog because it is easier to update and work with - AND so many of us already use Facebook all the time.  If you're not using/on Facebook, maybe it is high time to join the 21st century and give it a try!  It is not that hard.  And it won't grow hair on your palms either! I promise! :)

Road Construction ALERT!

Hey Everybody! We may have some street closings around the Reunion location to deal with. Melissa Johnson just told me that OKC is doing work on the streets around her neighborhood (where the clubhouse the Reunion will be held at is located) are being closed for road work. So there's a real possibilty that you may find Hefner Road between I-35 and the main, west entrance to her neighborhood (just off Hefner a little east of Sooner Road). She also thinks that Sooner Road may be shut down or at least when it gets around Hefner. So we better plan on alternate routes to come into the neighborhood. I PhotoShop'd a little map that shows other routes off of I-35 (either 122nd St to the north, or E. Britton Rd to the south). Just take either one to North Air Depot and then come down/up to Hefner and come in the neighborhood via the east entrance. That street is called Valley Forest Ave. Turn south onto it and follow it back around to the west and then back north till you see the clubhouse on your right - just past NE 105th St. If you get lost or something, call Ron on his cell - two-one-four-six-eight-four-six-one-six-six.

2011 Reunion is coming SOON!

Yes, we're still on for this year's Craig Family Reunion at the same place as the last two years in OKC! Saturday 6/25/11 is the day. PLEASE be there if you possibly can. Really, it's just lunch and a little visiting. We're one big family and we need to stay in touch!

Postcards will be mailed out in the next couple of weeks, so look for it in your mailbox soon. Some pictures from last year's (2010) Reunion will be posted soon too. And if you happen to have some photos in digital form that you can email me of previous Reunions or Craig family get-togethers that might be nice to be included here, then send them my way.

2010 Postcard Photo

The new "Craig Reunion" photo on this year's reminder cards was taken (obvious if you were in attendance) at last year's (2009) reunion in OKC. This is the same location we'll be at this year. We're just a little over two weeks away - Saturday the 26th! Please come if you possibly can. We really need everyone in the extended Craig family there to keep us all in touch with one another! We are family - lineal descendants of Ma & Pa Craig at the top of the family tree shown in the banner graphic for the site.

Here's the photos I took from last year's reunion in OKC. I'm not sure exactly why it took me all of 11 months and a week to post these here to the Reunion site, but I'll try to improve upon that turnaround time by 9-10 months at least after this year's 2010 reunion. BTW - if you have any pictures of this or any Craig reunion of the past, email them to me and I'll post them here on the site!
